Health And Safety
At Rocome, we take health and safety standards extremely seriously. Working with electrical systems can involve significant risk, and we are committed to ensuring that the electricians we employ and all of our customers are safe while work is taking place.
Before any work is carried out, we assess the risk and ensure that the correct strategies and safeguards are implemented.
We recognise that we must take all reasonable steps to promote and maintain safe working conditions for our employees, as well as maintain a safe environment for customers.
Key points of our health and safety strategy:
- Compliance with the relevant regulations and codes of practice concerning health and safety across all company activities.
- The provision of appropriate personal protective equipment, tools, and training where needed.
- Operations are reviewed routinely to make sure reasonable health and safety measures have been implemented and to update existing practices when legislation has changed.
- Provisions to ensure that all contractors, employees, and customers are aware of basic health and safety initiatives, including first aid arrangements, fire precautions, and the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) where it is needed.
- The assurance that site visitors are accompanied when work is taking place.
- The visibility of health and safety information in the workplace.
- Regular reminders of contractors’ duties under sections seven and eight of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Contractors are made aware that they are responsible for taking reasonable care of their health and safety at work, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by their work.
- The completion of all relevant health and safety paperwork before work commences at all domestic and commercial properties.
The key objective at Rocome is to ensure that we provide a safe working environment for our employees and clients. We never cut corners to save time or money when it comes to health and safety. We have a first-rate safety record as a result of the high level of training we provide. As a result, we have built up an excellent reputation for the work we do, which is always carried out safely and efficiently.
All of our contractors are fully qualified and highly trained, so they are well-versed in current health and safety legislation. We provide regular updates and ongoing training to ensure that our team knows about any changes to the regulations and is prepared to tackle potentially dangerous situations in the safest possible way.
Rocome is NICEIC accredited. NICEIC is the leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry in the UK. It has been assessing electricians’ competence for over 60 years, ensuring that their work, premises, equipment, and documentation are checked and regularly reassessed.
Being NICEIC registered gives our clients peace of mind as they are assured that the work will be carried out safely and to a high standard.
